How to save restaurant recommendations from Threads
On a Threads post, tap the share icon → Copy link, then open Fsnap, tap + → “Paste from clipboard” → “Parse & Save”. The recommendation is added to your food list with a “[Threads]” prefix and the tags “Social” and “Threads”.
Steps to save a Threads food post
Open Fsnap
Open fsnap.app in your browser, or open the installed Fsnap from your home screen.
Copy the post link
On the Threads post, tap the share (paper-plane) icon and choose “Copy link”. Both threads.net and threads.com links work.
Add a note in Fsnap
Go back to Fsnap and tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.
Paste the link and add the name
Tap “Paste from clipboard”. Posts often mention several places, so type the one you want to remember before the link.
Parse and save
Tap “Parse & Save”; the note appears at the top of your list.
On Android you can share from Threads straight to Fsnap
On Android, first install Fsnap to your home screen (Chrome menu → “Install app”). After that, tap Share in the original app and Fsnap appears in the share sheet; pick it, Fsnap opens with the link filled in, check it and tap “Parse & Save”.
Why is the Threads preview often empty?
Like Instagram, Threads often limits outside access, so Fsnap may only get a default image and the title “未命名連結” (untitled). The link is always saved; typing the name before it keeps the note easy to recognize.
What if one post recommends several places?
Fsnap saves one note per link. Paste the same link several times with a different restaurant name in front each time to save them as separate notes.
What can I do after saving?
- Tap a note card to go back to the original post or map page.
- With many notes, use the search box and tag row on the home screen to find a place fast; the pencil button on a card edits its name and tags and adds custom categories (like “Date night”).
- Tried it and didn’t like it? Tap the “Bad” (dislike) button to remove it from the list; tap “Undo” in the notice to bring it back.
- If you allow location, map notes with coordinates show the distance and get tags like “Nearest”, “Nearby” or “Cross-region”; the calculation happens only on your device.
- Use “Import / Export Data” in the menu for a “Full JSON backup” or a CSV (the first export needs a one-time “Share to Unlock”).
