How to save Instagram restaurant posts into one food list

On an Instagram food post or Reel, tap Share → Copy link, then open Fsnap, tap + → “Paste from clipboard” → “Parse & Save”. The place is added to your food list and tagged “Social” and “IG”. Unlike Instagram’s own Saved folder, Fsnap keeps places from Instagram, Threads and Google Maps in one list.

Steps for iPhone and Android

  1. Open Fsnap

Open fsnap.app in your browser (add it to your home screen first so it opens like an app).

  2. Copy the Instagram link

On the Instagram post or Reel, tap the paper-plane (share) icon and choose “Copy link”.

  3. Add a note in Fsnap

Go back to Fsnap and tap the orange + button in the bottom-right corner.

  4. Paste the link and add the name

Tap “Paste from clipboard” (or long-press the field to paste). Typing the restaurant name before the link helps, e.g. “Ming Ramen https://www.instagram.com/p/...”.

  5. Parse and save

Tap “Parse & Save”. Fsnap tries to fetch the title and photo and adds “Social”, “IG” and keyword tags (e.g. “Pref:Ramen”).

On Android you can share from Instagram straight to Fsnap

On Android, first install Fsnap to your home screen (Chrome menu → “Install app”). After that, tap Share in the original app and Fsnap appears in the share sheet; pick it, Fsnap opens with the link filled in, check it and tap “Parse & Save”.

Why can’t iPhone share directly to Fsnap?

iOS does not let web apps appear in the share sheet, so on iPhone you always copy the link first and paste it in Fsnap. With Fsnap on your home screen, switching back takes a second.

What if the photo or name is missing?

Instagram often limits access for visitors who are not logged in, so the preview may only return a default image and the title shows as “未命名連結” (untitled). Posts from private accounts cannot be previewed at all.

The link is still saved and opens the original post. The easy fix is to type the restaurant name before the link when pasting; Fsnap uses it as the title.

What can I do after saving?

  • Tap a note card to go back to the original post or map page.
  • With many notes, use the search box and tag row on the home screen to find a place fast; the pencil button on a card edits its name and tags and adds custom categories (like “Date night”).
  • Tried it and didn’t like it? Tap the “Bad” (dislike) button to remove it from the list; tap “Undo” in the notice to bring it back.
  • If you allow location, map notes with coordinates show the distance and get tags like “Nearest”, “Nearby” or “Cross-region”; the calculation happens only on your device.
  • Use “Import / Export Data” in the menu for a “Full JSON backup” or a CSV (the first export needs a one-time “Share to Unlock”).
